Problem

The patient came in with a complex, long-standing problem: a disturbed bite together with worn, discoloured and broken-down teeth across the whole mouth. Decay, old failing restorations and missing teeth had combined to affect both function and appearance. A case like this cannot be solved one tooth at a time; it needs a plan for the whole mouth.

Diagnosis

A full assessment revealed complex bite pathology alongside multiple destroyed and missing teeth. Some teeth could be saved with therapeutic treatment; others were beyond repair and needed replacement. The whole system had to be rebuilt together so that the bite, the function and the aesthetics would work as one.

Treatment Plan

A staged, full-mouth rehabilitation combining three disciplines: therapeutic treatment to save and prepare the healthy teeth, implantation to replace the missing ones, and ceramic restorations on both teeth and implants to rebuild a correct, natural-looking bite.

Treatment Steps
1

Therapeutic treatment

The teeth that could be saved were treated and stabilised first, decay removed and foundations prepared, creating a healthy base for the restorations to come.

2

Implantation

Titanium implants were placed to replace the missing teeth, restoring support for the bite where teeth had been lost.

3

Ceramic restorations

Finally, ceramic crowns were placed on both the natural teeth and the implants, rebuilding the full anatomy, the correct bite and a bright, even smile.

Result

A complete rehabilitation on ceramic crowns over teeth and implants. Function and aesthetics are fully restored with a long-term, positive prognosis: a comfortable bite, a natural, even smile, and teeth the patient can rely on again.

What is full-mouth rehabilitation?

Full-mouth rehabilitation rebuilds all of the teeth, and the bite itself, in one coordinated plan rather than fixing problems one at a time. It brings together several fields of dentistry: therapy to save teeth, implants to replace them, and ceramics to restore shape and function. Planned as a whole, the result is a balanced bite, lasting function and a natural smile.
