Full-Mouth Ceramic Restoration
Both arches rebuilt with root canal treatment, implants and zirconia ceramic crowns
Before
AfterThe patient came in with damage spread through both arches: worn and broken-down teeth, old restorations that had reached the end of their working life, and gaps where teeth had already been lost. Chewing had become uncomfortable, and the smile no longer looked the way the patient wanted it to.
A full assessment of both arches found a mixture of teeth that could be saved with root canal treatment, teeth that had to be replaced, and a bite that needed rebuilding as a whole. The upper and lower arches were planned together so the finished restorations would meet correctly on both sides.
A comprehensive restoration of both arches, combining root canal treatment for the teeth worth keeping, implantation in the areas of loss, and zirconia ceramic crowns across the mouth to restore shape, colour and function in one coordinated plan.
Planning across both arches
The upper and lower arches were assessed and planned as a single case, deciding which teeth to save, which to replace, and where the bite had to be rebuilt.
Root canal treatment
The teeth being kept were treated endodontically and prepared, giving each crown a stable, healthy foundation.
Implantation
Implants were placed in the areas where teeth had been lost, returning support to those parts of the arch.
Ceramic restorations
Zirconia crowns were fitted across both arches, rebuilding the anatomy of each tooth and bringing the bite into even, balanced contact.
Both arches are fully restored. The bite meets evenly, chewing function is back, and the smile is uniform in shape and colour from the front view and in profile.
Teeth do not work in isolation: every upper tooth meets a lower one, and the bite is the relationship between the two arches. Restoring one arch without planning the other risks building a beautiful set of teeth that does not meet correctly. Planning both together means the final contacts, the bite height and the appearance are all decided before the first crown is made.
