Implants for a missing lower segment
Two zirconia crowns on implants restore function and comfort
Before
Model
AfterThe patient came in with missing teeth in the lower-left segment. The gap had been there for some time, making it hard to chew on that side and reducing everyday comfort. Left unaddressed, neighbouring teeth tend to drift and the bone in the empty area gradually resorbs.
Examination and imaging confirmed the lower-left segment was suitable for implant-supported restoration, with enough healthy bone for stable, long-term integration. Two titanium implants were planned to replace the missing teeth.
A two-implant solution restored with permanent all-zirconia crowns. This rebuilds the full anatomy of the missing teeth, returns reliable chewing function and looks completely natural, with no metal and no removable appliance.
Implant placement
Two titanium implants were placed in the lower-left segment using a minimally invasive, 3D-planned protocol for precise positioning and faster healing.
Healing & gum shaping
During integration, temporary restorations on the implants shaped the gum, so the soft tissue was contoured and ready before the permanent crowns were made.
Zirconia crowns
Once the implants had integrated and the gum was prepared, two permanent all-zirconia crowns were fixed in place, matched in colour and anatomy to the adjacent teeth.
The missing lower-left segment is fully rebuilt. The zirconia crowns are indistinguishable from natural teeth in colour and shape, and the patient regained full chewing function, aesthetics and comfort.
A dental implant is a titanium root placed in the jaw that supports a fixed crown, the closest thing to a natural tooth. Unlike a bridge, it does not require grinding down neighbouring teeth, and it preserves the bone in the area. Topped with an all-zirconia crown, the result is metal-free, biocompatible and built to last for decades with proper care.
